Q2: How come we DO NOT need a license to use Broadband Internet Service?

Q3: What is the difference between Broadband Internet Service & VSAT Service?

Q1: Do we need a license to use your Services?

It depends on what type of service you are using. For Broadband Internet Service you DO NOT need a license (see question 3). Whereas, for VSAT Service (Leased Line over Satellite) you DO need a license from the Local Authorities. Our company can significantly facilitate the process of securing a VSAT license, as well as importing and clearing VSAT equipment through customs.

Q2: How come we DO NOT need a license to use Broadband Internet Service?

Broadband Internet Service is asymmetric one-way traffic patterns delivered to your home or office using DVB (Digital Video Broadcast) technology, which is exactly the same technology used for delivering satellite TV channels through your regular satellite TV receiver. In Yemen, such equipment is exempted by the Local Authorities according to the Telecommunications Law (Issued by presidential decree no. 38 for the year 1991) as stated in articles 5/5 and 26/14.

Q3: What is the difference between Broadband Internet Service & VSAT Service?

Broadband Internet Service is mainly for asymmetric one-way traffic patterns such as those used for Internet Access, Web Browsing, or Email. On the other hand, VSAT Service (Lease Line over Satellite) is mainly for symmetric two-way high-level traffic patterns such as those used for Leased Lines, and Voice Telecommunications.
